Housed in the historic "Chubb Building," built in 1878, Cobalt Art Gallery offers a broad range of paintings, drawings, prints, and sculpture from prominent Canadian and International artists. Our collection holdings feature a special emphasis on the art of the Atlantic Region, as well as Inuit sculpture and Persian rugs. Providing an extensive selection of fine and decorative artworks in diverse mediums, in a addition to a comprehensive survey of local artists, we invite you to peruse our collections online, by artist, or in person during our hours of operation (Monday-Saturday), or by scheduling an appointment.
Visit us at our new location on the corner of Princess and Prince William: we look forward to sharing with you fine examples of still-life painting, landscapes, antiques, portraits, nudes and other artworks spanning from the 18th century, through to the present.
Meet Milo, the friendly gallery dog. She is an Aussie Doodle mix and enjoys visitors. She’s in and out of the gallery and certainly has her group of fans. She is hypoallergenic, which is good news for those who suffer allergies. We are a pet friendly establishment. If you are severely allergic to or afraid of dogs, notify us and we can temporarily put Milo in the office.
